Another Weekend in Paradise

... and while eating dinner tonight, we were trying to decide what to do with Olga this weekend - you know, the touristy stuff.

"So Olga, where do you want to go or what do you want to do this weekend ?"

"I don't care - just as long as we don't do what we did last weekend...
... TRAINSPOTTING !!!!!"

*nightmare flashback music in the background*

Last weekend, part of going to look at the townhouse we thought we might rent, involved a wait of an hour, in the 'hood, as we were a tad early for the open house but too far to go home for the time.

Hello Fallowfield VIA (sub) train station - what a great way to kill time.

The trouble tho', is that Paradise (and Fallowfield) doesn't get a lot of passenger train traffic - its not a great hub like Union station in Toronto. But I knew we would strike gold as there would be a 2 pm train to watch.

Dang trouble was that we were there at 1 pm.

We tried waiting in the station, but we were getting the evil eye.... the station is smaller than our apartment and it was looking funny - 2 people and a bra, hangin' out in an empty station, in the middle of nowhere, waiting for a train that wasn't going to arrive for another hour. Back out to the Yukon we went to do our waiting.

So how to kill time ?

Take photos of course !!!

This is Olga looking out of Fidel's window at the VIA sign.

We were bored, so we went to the other side of the building and took a picture.

"Is it here yet ? I just want to get away from this #@!!!*% forsaken place - maybe go get a beer or summin' - now that's what I call fun!! "

"Hello Mr. Engineer - guy. What would you do if you saw a travelling bra tied to the train tracks?"

"And just what are those people staring at - Haven't they ever seen a bra before ?"

"Can we go now ?"

THE END

Fidel made sure that I didnt tie you on to the train, to take the pictures, either. We had visions of the train taking off with you on it

Tis true about the funny looks - you should have seen one guy trying to pretend not to notice, although he had a big grin, at the theatre last night.

VIA is quintessential Canada (almost). Today we give Olga a Tims (and maybe she'll win us a car)
