I thought we were going to miss this. The news this morning that the 'Frew was going to get this storm. Guess not or....

They are getting it worse :0
Its been snowing non-stop since late last night/early thi s morning.

Its going to be a mess tomorrow morning, especially if Paradise's bus drivers end up on strike.

This along with one of the main inter-provincial bridges closed indefinitely due to safety reasons (that bridge had 27,00 crossings a day, but was a major artery of commute for both sides going to & coming from work each day), thus huge changes in commuter patters causing major commute delays + large snow fall accu mulations =

Get my drift ?

(Looking out my living room window confirms it... its a mess already and the buses are still running)

But I'm lucky (knowck wood)... I should be minimally impacted.

("should" & "minimally" being the optimal words)

We've had a mild entry into winter this year, but given a day like this, the memory forgets and starts "pining for the fjors" (sorry Monty Python) of summer warmth and Carribean breezes.

Here, I share some shots of Dimitrios, the Greek Bra Detective, aka Dimi, while he was vacationing with Fidel and I this summer.
"Ahhh.. nothing like the sun !!!"

"Dimi- why don't you get into a bathing suit?"

"No get into Dimi suit in front of strangers. Any more rum ?"

"I'm not even going to ask you where you got your Heineken beach towel..."

"When is Happy Hour by the pool?"

"Ahhh.. perfect weather to go surfing. But where are the waves? I think I need more tan oil - my face looks like a reverse badger...these lovely sunglasses."

"You mean sunblock. But I have none to give you other than my Aussie Gold super-fry SPF -15."

"There the waves are... and so too the out bands from hurricane Gustave!!!! ACK !!! Anymore rum?"
