Fiddleheads, Fiddleheads

Eat then up - YUM!!!!

Guess what I'm having as one of my side dishes tonight.

This is one of the joys of spring, here in Paradise.

(if you end up watching the other creations of WEBCHEF.ca... check out the lobster chowder. Now THAT is something I am just going to have to make !!)

Yummy. I tried it stir fried with a little bit of dried shrimp and chilli for a more oriental take. I like fiddleheads. We have something similar in Malaysia which we call "puchuk paku" but it is much smaller.

LGS -fiddle heads are gooood..if you can get them fresh. No matter how they are done.

NP - Of course you probably didn't know about these because they aren't something really indigenous to your area.

Its a local food source item here and available 3-4 weeks in the spring. Even so,its still not a totally familiar food commodity item list
