A Little Reading this Weekend

Its been an interesting week, from a few perspectives. There have been a couple of personal opportunities that have come up, and should one in particular bear fruit, there will be some very interesting blogging on my part. But I say "naught" for now, as it is only early days and I don't want to jinx myself.

The weekend is here and no big plans. However, some reading will be involve...

It looks like if I want to continue to use this blog template (and fix that mess on the left), I am going to have to pick up some HTML savvy. I think I have a "HTML for Absolutely Clueless Broads" in the "den", loaned to me (permanently) by a friend 4 years ago when I was trying to set up a web page for my job then.

I bucked learning it in those days, even after numerous phone calls, to a pal many hours away from me, who tried to coach me through it all, during my lunches. Amazing what one will stoop to do when it becomes personal.

I've been asked to vet a final paper, before submission, for a colleague who is doing an MBA. It should be interesting in that the topic of the paper is on a subject near and dear to my heart. Since I have a bit more knowledge in the subject area (and some really strong opinions) then this person has(d), I was "consulted" a few times while the paper was being researched.

Heheheee..... I get to be ruthless !!!! Red pen...here I come....wwweeeeeeeeeeee..........

You know.... I've been really negligent in thanking all of you, my friends, who expressed concern and sent lovely wishes during these past weeks of my RSI(s).

It sucks getting old, especially when you are busy helping everyone else, but forget to look after yourself. These days, I've been very diligent about watching for awkward postures, repetitive activities, etc. - really conscious about giving my body a chance to heal, while getting work & fun stuff done.

(now what to do about the glasses?)

All of your wishes have made me really appreciate, so much more, the friends I've found in the "bloggersphere". Thank you !!

Remember- this Sunday is St Urho's day. Hmmm..... I must remember to send some e-cards to family.

I'd make Mojakka, to celebrate, but Fidel has developed sensitivity issues with fish. We're thinking he's really sensitive to scromboid in most fish, versus an allergy to fish.

Are you hinting that you have Finnish roots? That is so cool.

LGS - thats right ...Finnish roots :) (prettyclose ones at that)

Olga - Thanks sweetie. Tis true, these blogs are a time hole which likely another reason I'm not blogging as much

Robert -If ya crack the code, lemme know.

Anyone have copy of Drowsey's St. Paddy's video of Crusty & the Crustettes? I couldn'tget it to open from her blog.
