Presents from husbands

Fidel and I were talking about the lovely bracelet he gave me for Christmas. I was quite impressed by his choice and that he had picked it out without any comment, suggestion or otherwise from me. Its my taste to a "T" !!!!!!!

I was teasing him about the "procurement of it"....

"Yeah, you went right into Swarovski and went 'AAAGGGHHHH, I NEED HELP'!!!!!!"

He said, no. He actually went around the mall many times, selectively missing my favourite stores such as Birks and Jubilee jewelers and finally rested at the "S" store.

"So the ladies helped you ? Was it the "old" lady?"

"What - the vampires ?"

"*lol* I know what you mean."

"No, it was the 'Michael Jackson' wanna be - already armed with the one hand in the white glove."

" The old lady never puts her glove on until you are ready to see something from a show case."

" Naw, its was one of the young student types they hire for the season. They're all primed with the one white glove on... ready to show the 'stupid husband some really over priced dumb ass gift, because he's desperate and doesn't know what to get "her"'."

Sounds like a kill if you ask me. But he did pick it out himself.

And he is right. I love jewelery, glass, crystal, silver and so on. I just LOVE the gift !!!!!

BUT - and I say "but"....don't get caught at a Swarovski store unless you want to buy, or have the will of 3 million men - the sales staff are like sharks at a feeding frenzy.

I am so happy for you, dear. Ummm. Could Fidel teach me how to choose presents for my wife? My track record has been such that I am banned from shopping for her without supervision. :(

Fidel,
It doesn't mean that I am not expected to buy presents for my wife, but I have to do it in her presence or with an approved adviser in case I buy something totally weird. So much for creative spontaneity.
