TD 4 Weather Advisory - Caribbean Islands

Fidel and I are now on a bit of a weather watch. Its seems that this Saturday could prove to be a bit of "fun"; I'm being a bit sarcastic don't ya all know. But it could prove to be an interesting adventure depending on how it all works out. We're getting a few checks in place so that we can be assured of each other's safety should the weather prove to be bad.

Oh yeah.. I'm flying in to Sint Maarten Saturday afternoon- ETA 1:30 pm their time.

Note to self - Remember to charge cell & PDA, and bring quarters for the phone.

Right now, the tropical depression track has moved more northernly than 6 odd hours ago and is now predicted to be heading right for my beloved little islands of the SSS. One prediction is suggesting that that it could be a category 2 hurricane - enough to dampen spirits, or worse. If it makes a "2" status, it could really disrupt travel between Sint Maarten and Saba for a few days or more.

He (Fidel - not Damien/Dean) and I are so"lucky" this way. Of all our travels to be with each other, only one trip has gone off without a hitch. That was my trip last December to Sint Maarten. But in that one, we ended up getting shafted with rental car charges - a small ding that they wanted big bucks for.

Now to go and round up my foul weather gear to pack in my carry-on, and maybe my tiny hand held VHF.
